At the end of November, several technological solutions developed and maintained by the Centre for cultural information systems (KISC) were received at the annual conference “LIKTA (I)2023” of the Latvian Association of information and Communication technologies (LIKOTA), confirming THE KISC, which according to THE CFR decision has been designated as the ICT manager of the cultural resort and is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the main information systems of the cultural sector, as a successful and convincing player in the field of information and communication technologies at the national level.
The Culture Information Systems Centre the Platinum mouse 2023 nomination in the “national Digital Transformation” systems category for the public administration virtual assistant platform Hugo.lv, developed by language technology company Tilde. In the service category of the same nomination, the National Centre for Culture of Latvia (LNKC) received the award with the General Song and Dance Celebration data Management information system VIDDIS, which is technically supervised by KISC (project developer – SIA ZZ data). On the other hand, the Lithuanian company “DocLogix” received the special award from Signe, the eParsignature virtual assistant introduced by the VAS “Latvia State Radio and Television Centre”, which was also created on the virtual assistants platform Hugo.lv, the technical maintenance of WHICH IS provided by KISC, but developed by the company “Tilde”.
“Of course, the greatest satisfaction is the award for the virtual assistant platform Hugo.lv, which is a language technology service for our years and has been valued among public institutions as an effective and successful solution for communicating with public administration, which relieves the day-to-day nature of institutional staff from standard questions, allowing time to be devoted to preparing quality answers to questions that require intellectual effort and individual knowledge and experience,” emphasises Janis Ziediņš, deputy director of the Centre for cultural information systems in ICT matters. “But, of course, we are delighted with our collaborators – LVRTC on eScript conversational signal, which is a “colleague” for the always kind and responsive virtual assistants created on the Hugo.lv platform, as well as WITH THE LNKC on the General Song and Dance Celebration information system, the successful technical operation of which IS taken care of by KISC. This data management system ensured the coordination of large festival participants and events and the exchange of information in a smooth and qualitative manner,” notes Janis Ziediņš.
