Services
The Culture Information Systems Centre offers diverse e-services to institutions and citizens individually - in the fields of libraries, museums, archives, language technologies and artificial intelligence.
Services for individuals
Automatic translation of text, documents and websites into 24 European Union languages. Users are also offered synonyms and a dictionary of terms to be translated, as well as automated pronunciation of the textual translation on the translation site.
Access to citation information
Ability to obtain citation statistics of a specific publication and apply active links to reference sources.
Access to full texts of subscribed online and open access databases
Using the Internet search engine Primo, authorized users can access full texts from online databases subscribed to by the relevant library. Unauthorized users have access to online data resources up to annotation level.
Automatic speech recognition
Automatic speech-to-text conversion from a pre-recorded audio file or dictated text.
Automatic translation service on platform Hugo.lv
Automatic translation of text, documents and websites into 24 European Union languages. Users are also offered synonyms and a dictionary of terms to be translated, as well as automated pronunciation of the textual translation on the translation site.
Creating of bibliographic references
The possibility for users of the Internet search engine Primo to create bibliographic indications of the information resource in accordance with international standards (APA, Harvard, MLA).
Cultural routes
Diverse routes have been developed that include various cultural objects of Latvia. You can get important information about each route, including the map, the mode of travel, the duration and the level of difficulty.
Data of culture objects
Contact information of cultural objects and institutions (more than 7,500), working hours, descriptions of activities and services provided.
Latvian films online
The opportunity for everyone to access a selection of more than 400 Latvian films, which can be viewed for free online from anywhere in Latvia.
Museum Data
Contact information of the accredited museums of Latvia and information about museum items included in the Joint Catalog of the National Holdings of Museums.
Portal of digitized video and audio recordings Diva.lv
Diva.lv is an access portal to digitized video and audio recordings of Latvia, where historical, informative and educational materials about Latvian social processes, everyday life and cultural values are available free of charge to all Latvian residents.
Reading e-books
Access to more than 500 original Latvian authors` and translated into Latvian e-books free of charge from the publishing houses "Zvaigzne ABC", "Apgāds Mansards", "Prometejs", "Latvijas Mediji" and "Jumava", as well as several e-books of Latvian bank and individual authors Zane Nuts and Andra Manfelde. Reserving copies of books and extending the issue period in libraries of national significance and universities
Users registered in the relevant library can create a reservation request for a copy in the library's stock, as well as extend the deadline for returning the book.
Search and selection of information in the catalogs of national and university libraries
Extensive search and browsing options in national and university library catalogs according to various criteria; it is possible to refine or filter the set of found records. Entries can be saved to e-shelf or local computer, as well as sent to a specific e-mail address in various bibliographic formats.

Access to images and descriptions of museum items included in the Joint Catalog of the National Holdings of Museums, in general, to information on more than 2 million Latvian accredited museum items. Users registered on the portal can create their own collections of museum objects.
